What is the difference between Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3 asbestos work under Ontario Regulation 278/05?

Type 1 covers minor disturbance of intact, non-friable material with basic precautions. Type 2 covers removal of intact but higher-risk material, such as textured or popcorn ceiling removal, using wet methods and enclosure. Type 3 covers friable material, such as deteriorating pipe insulation, and requires full enclosure, decontamination procedures, and continuous air monitoring.
